Sonakshi Rathore of Jaipur won Bronze Medal in National Under 11 Chess Championship [Girls] held at Calicutt on 31st Oct 2007 . She is First Girl of Rajasthan to win any Medal in any National Chess Championship. She will represent India in next Asian & world Chess Championship.
GM Abhijeet Gupta has Won The Strongest Chess Event on Indian Sub- Continent by half a point Margin when he defeated Uzbek GM Dzhumaev Marat in 10th Round. In penultimate round he defeated 3 time National champion Surya sekhar Ganguly.He won the First Prize of Rs 2.25 lacs.

GM Abhijeet Gupta has been selected for the forthcoming National A Chess Championship tobe held in Chennai in Feb. 2008.

Atishay Ajmera of Jaipur won Gold Medal in Under 15 Boys category. He is state level champion in open sub junior category and also past state level junior champion. This year he has equalled the game against former and current age group world champions and also against two IMs. He is receiving his Medal from His Excellency Mr. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa The Governor of Central Province of Sri Lanka. This year he has equalled the game against former and current age group world champions and also against  WIM & FM.
Astha Gupta of Sri Ganganagar won Team-Silver Medal in Girls Under 15 category. She is past state level champion in Girls Under 17 and Under 13 category and also Open (Boys) Under 15 category. She is receiving Prize from Mr Harinlal Aturupane, The President of Sri Lankan Chess Federation.
Nishtha Gupta of Sri Ganganagar won Bronze Medal in Girls Under 11 Category. She is past state level champion in Under 11 Girls category and present state level champion in Under 17 and Under 19 category. She has won best women prizes in many international rating open chess tournaments. She is receiving his Medal from His Excellency Mr.  Tikiri Kobbekaduwa The Governor of Central Province of Sri Lanka.

Most of Special Category & Tournament Best Age Group were won By Rajasthan Players. Bharat Gupta of Jaipur Stood overall 19th Best Player of Tournament. Devesh Mukharjee was 24th in Main Prize List & Best Player in Rating Category 1801 to 2000. Mukesh Mandloi was 30th & last in Main List. Akhilesh Jakhar was Declared Best Unrated Player.  National Under 11,  2nd runner up Sonakashi Rathore was Tournament Best Under 12 Girl. In 8th Round Kushagra Sharma defeted 3rd seed Kartikeyen (Rating 1754) of Tamilnadu & strongly put his claim for the championship as he has 6 points. In Girls section Kritica Sekhawat also won 8th Round & have 6 points. She has also put her candidature for championship. Manthan Chittora is on 5 points & Yashraj is on 3.5 points. Priyanka Kumawat & Shibani Kapoor are on 3 points each.
Sonakshi  won Silver in Asian Youth Chess
Sonakshi Rathore of Jaipur proved once again that youth brigade of  Rajsthan chess is an emerging force on Indian Chess scenario . She won Silver Medal in under 12  Girls category  at The Asian Youth Chess Championship at Tehran in Iran . She remain undefeated in the Tournament.

First time in the Chess History of Rajasthan State Level Senior Tournament was organized as a Rating Tournament  from July 1 to 5 at Jaipur. Out of 44 Players , 17 were Rated. Ex- National B Champion Kantilal Dave & 5 Ex State  Champion were among Participants.

Devesh Mukharjee of Jaipur won the  Championship where as   Atishay Ajmera was Runners Up. Mukesh Mandloi was 3rd & Arpit saxena remained fourth.

KUSHAGRA SHARMA IS YOUNGEST RATED PLAYER OF RAJASTHAN

Rated Players in Rajasthan swell to 77 as per Fide Rating List of July 2008. Now more & more age group players are getting International rating.  Kushagra Sharama of  Jaipur become International Rated Player at the age of 9. He is now youngest Rated Player of Rajasthan.

AICF Coaching Camp for Rajasthan Players
First time in the Chess history of Rajasthan All India Chess Federation with the local help of All Rajputana Chess Association conducted advance coaching camp for young chess brigade of Rajasthan at Jaipur from June, 23 to 29, 2008.

AICF deputed senior most Hindi speaking coach FM Shantaram of Chennai who is Ex-National A player. 23 sub-junior chess players worked hard to get this training. Training was free of cost and all outstation players were provided with free lodging also.

Mr. Shantaram found that many of these young players have potential to sparkle at National and Inter-National level.

Lions Club Maharana International Rating Chess @ Udaipur
This is sixth International Rating Chess Tournament in Rajasthan Under the agies of All Rajputana Chess Association in less then two Years. This time Local chapter of world renowned Lions club has come forward for Rajasthan Chess Players. A This  Rs One Lac Prize Money Tournament has witnessed record Entry of 197 players.

Surge in Rajasthan Rated Player
Now Rajasthan has proud of having 84 International rated Players in the State. Octoober Rating List of FIDE[ world chess Federation] adds 7 more Players in this list. Two year ago only Two Juniors Players were among International Rated Players. Now Youth Brigade of Rajasthan is getting stronger day by day & number of youth international rated players have swelled to two dozens.
Abhijeet Won World Junior Chess Title
GM Abhijeet won World Junior title in recently concluded World Junior Chess Championship at Turkey. He is Third Indian to win this title after Vishwanath Anand & P Harikrishana. Abhijeet is First Player from Our State to have IM & GM Titles. D Harika of Andhra won Girls Junior Title.
On the occaision  Our treasurer Mr Ajay Ajmera called on him & apprised him present development of Chess in Rajasthan . He was mesmerized by the progress of Chess in Rajasthan in last 2 & half year.  He shown special interest in meeting with our child chess prodigies

Viks Sahu is an Upcoming young Chess Player & Coach of Udaipur Having International Rating in Chess [1901] awarded by FIDE. He was honored by  “The Maharana Raj Singh award”. Consisting Commemorative Medal, A Merit Certificate  & a Cash award of Rs. 1001/-


Neelesh Kumawat, a 16-year-old boy from Udaipur, excelled in Studies & chess. He is also an International Rated Chess Player [1647]. He was honored by  - Maharana Fateh singh award consisting A Commemorative Medal, A Merit Certificate  & a Cash award of Rs. 751/-

Rajasthan See Total 95 International Rated Players in Chess.

World Chess Federation has released latest List of rated Players. In the list as many as 95 Players from Rajasthan has got the berth. Three years ago it was only 40 & most of them were inactive. The latest entrant in this list  are from Udaipur, which is now producing more rated players. Thanks to Lions club Maharana, who organized International rating Tournament which boosted the Chess of Udaipur.

1st Kota International Fide rating Chess tournament @Kota
May 24 to 30.
Kota witnessed its first International Rating  chess Tournament . It was 7th  rating Tournament
Under the aegis of All Rajputana chess Association. 
First Prize of Rs 50000/  was won by 20 yr old boy of Delhi Rahul Sangama.
IM trio Saptarishiroy, Himanshu Sharama & Sri ram Jha stood 2nd ,3rd & 4th respectively & won Rs 30,000/ Rs 20000/ & Rs 10000/.

In all 153 players from 14 States, from all over India participated in the Tourney out of which 82 were International rated Players. Players from Rajasthan won Big haul of Prizes. 7 Rajasthani Players made it in Main Prize List. 6 Players will get full rating & Many others will get partial Ratings.

1st N.L. PANDIYAR MEMORIAL LAKECITY INTERNATIONAL FIDE RATED OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT @ UDAIPUR
It was 2nd International Rating Tournament in Udaipur within Last 9 Months. Over all this was8th International rating Tournament under the agegis of All Rajputana Chess Association in a short span ofless then 30 months.
IM Sri ram Jha once again proved his superiority & bring home first prize of Rs 60000/. Swapnil Dhopade of maharashtra won second Prize of Rs 35000/. Ram Prakash recovered from the stunning defeat  in 2nd round by the hand of 13 years old  Boy Ayush garg of Jaipur & finally rose to claim
Third Prize of Rs 20000/.
In all 189  players out of which 81 were International rated Players from 12 States, from all over India participated in the Tourney.  This Includes 5 Ims & one CM. Players from Rajasthan won Big haul of Prizes. 7 Rajasthani Players made it in Main Prize List. 7 Rajasthan Players will get full rating & Many others will get partial Ratings.

Sonakshi Rathore won State senior  Chess Championship @ Udaipur
12 Year 8 Month Old Sonakshi Rathore Of Jaipur Created the History in Rajasthan Chess as well as in Indian Chess when she drew against Arpit Saxena & won the Dheeraj Muradia Memorial State Senior Open  Chess Championship in Rajasthan held at Udaipur From July 19 to  23,  2009. Sonakshi ,Current  Asian Under 12 Silver Medallist,  started as  8th  Seeded in the Tournament & crushed All the old Guards of Rajasthan chess who came in her way to Championship .  This is First time in the Chess History of Rajasthan That any Female has risen to such a  Coveted Position in Chess. She also become Youngest Player to win the championship. Earlier Record held By GM Abhijeet Gupta. She Lost only one game to her Coach Mr Devesh Mukarjee, who ultimately finished Third in the Tournament with 7 points.
Manoj Trivedi of Jodhpur Finished 2nd with 7.5 points. Another Star of The Tournament was  18 Yr Palash Shah of Udaipur who Started as 21st  seed but defeated many a stalwart of Chess to grab 4th Position. 
Devendra Kumar, Sunny Bedi, Atishay Ajmera  are the Other youngsters of Young Brigade of Rajasthan who impressed with theirs Chess skill & has once again proved that they are the force of future  to recon with !!
